Food for the soul

Mariam, a destitute, begged daily near a church and traffic signal. She got enough coins  to buy food for one meal. It was raining that day and she had a small packet of bread given that morning at church by a kindly visitor. It was past noon and she was very hungry
“Grandma, my child is starving for two days. Can you share some?” she heard from a young woman with small kid in her arms.
Without second thought she gave the entire packet. What if there is no food for stomach, there is enough for the soul, she thought.
(This was written in response to 100 word Saturday prompt of  "Food For Soul" on WT.)..

    kind soul. Maybe God came to the rescue of the young lady with a small kid , thru Mariam.

    Often we see around us the rich who are so much destitute in the confines of their unenlightened souls. On the other hand we also see some of the poor who shine with goodness in their souls which makes them far richer than rich where it truly matters most.

    God works in strange ways as we know it.

    I too think that poor people are the first to share whatever they have, than people who have everything available in a platter.

    Surely food for the soul. how many of us would be like Mariam? God manifests himself in many ways, unknown to us.

    It's true that (most of) the rich people are the most greedy - they'll take their money with them to their grave, but they will not share. Instead of wood, these people might as well want to be burned using currency notes.
